Warm, down-to-earth, and goal oriented: These are words that best describe my style of work. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing clients succeed in reaching (or exceeding) their goals. My specialties include stress, anxiety, relationships, confidence/assertiveness, focus and motivation. Holistic in scope, my approach takes into consideration the many facets of you as an individual, including one's physical health, interpersonal relationships, and spirituality (if desired).
I have been teaching mindfulness techniques for over 20 years and enjoy incorporating these skills with clients, helping them to be more present and relaxed in their daily lives. Becoming more present lends the space to begin to gently shift habits that may not be in alignment with one’s goals or values. With a large dose of compassion, I work collaboratively with my clients to help them to skillfully move toward the change they are seeking, ultimately gaining more personal freedom and resiliency in the face of life’s varied challenges.
In addition to my licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have an additional credential as a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. What this means is that I have learned evidence-based methods of improving mental health via one's physical health and lifestyle. I am merely providing information which you can further discuss with your medical provider in an effort to assess appropriateness for your individual treatment with him/her. In order to aid you in continuity of care, I maintain a network of healthcare providers to whom I routinely refer clients. These providers include functional medicine practitioners, acupuncturists, dietitians, psychiatrists, and more.
